Kent University Sobhy Scholarships in Electronics for Indian Students

The Department of Electronics at the University of Kent offers a number of Sobhy Scholarships each year to applicants domiciled in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Mauritius and paying overseas fees starting one of the following taught postgraduate programmes run by the Department:
- * MSc in Broadband & Wireless Communications
- * MSc in Information Security & Biometrics
- * MSc in Instrumentation & Embedded Systems
These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit as assessed by
the entry qualification for the postgraduate course at Kent. Three levels of
award are available:
- * The Sobhy Prize of £3,000 towards the cost of tuition fees awarded to the strongest candidate as judged by a selection panel.
- * All other eligible students holding an appropriate First Class Undergraduate Degree or equivalent will receive £2,000 towards the cost of tuition fees.
- * All other eligible students holding an appropriate Upper Second Class Undergraduate Degree or equivalent will receive £1,000 towards the cost of tuition fees.
Eligible applicants are automatically considered for these Scholarships by a
selection panel. The Department of Electronics reserves the right not to
allocate the awards if the selection panel identifies no suitable candidates. We
expect to inform candidates whether or not they have been successful in being
awarded a Sobhy Scholarships following a meeting of the panel on the 1st April
or 1st July each year. The winner of the £3,000 Sobhy Prize will be announced at
the start of the academic year.
