SLASH Fund 2011
Created in 2002 as a then member of the Baltimore Ravens, the S.L.A.S.H. (Sportsmen Lifting Academics & Sponsoring Hope) Fund is the perfect vehicle to tackle one of the core problems in our city’s urban areas—Education.
Many children do not receive enough support and encouragement in their academic careers, and need outside help.
The S.L.A.S.H. fund extends its mission across many levels by supporting and nurturing multiple programs from both financial and mentoring positions.

Dear Friends,
I have been fortunate enough to work for a great organization…and in a great city where people understand the importance of helping one another. Being part of the NFL has taught me that if you have the opportunity to give back to the community, you do so with integrity and compassion.

No one suffers more from poverty and poor education than today’s children. Being a father myself, I understand how much a loving nurturing childhood can make all the difference. So, I set out to create a foundation dedicated to just this purpose… enriching the lives of children. The Adalius Thomas S.L.A.S.H. Fund, founded in 2002, is a non-profit organization that organizes and funds many different events and programs for our children.
Adalius, you give all these speeches about helping kids and giving back to the community so why don't you want to apart of your son life that you just found about I mean that is your son, don't you think you should be in his life I'm sure he need you and your support how can you not be apart of his life when you try to do so much for other kids, that's not right and I think one day you will regret it. Your son need you and should be a man and be there for him.
